What to Expect in a Phylaties Class

Phylaties is a signature method created by Melodie Ferguson, Pelvic Floor Therapist, that blends the mindful movement of Pilates with pelvic floor training and therapeutic strength work to support the body from the inside out.

Each class is designed to help you improve posture, build deep core stability, release tension, and strengthen muscles that support your spine, hips, and pelvic floor. Through guided, low-impact movements, you’ll connect breath with strength, increase mobility, and develop a deeper awareness of your body’s alignment.

Phylaties is a women-only class designed to create a comfortable and supportive environment where women can focus on strengthening their bodies and improving pelvic health without pressure or judgment. It is beginner-friendly and ideal for women who want to move safely while building strength and confidence in their bodies.

Whether you’re looking to tone your core, support postpartum recovery, reduce back or hip discomfort, or simply move with more ease, this class offers a supportive and effective full-body workout.

Classes are taught in a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can move at your own pace and focus on what your body needs.

What to Bring

• Yoga or Pilates mat

• Water bottle

• Comfortable workout clothes

• Optional: light dumbbells (2–5 lbs), resistance bands, or ankle weights for added challenge

Note: If you do not have a mat, mats will be available for use during class. High-quality Pilates mats will also be available for purchase for $60.
